The Shubb C7 and C7B (gold).
My C7(b) seems a bit different; the partial pad a slightly longer than pictured above, and the neck pad is same size as pictured but in black rubber.
Now my Seagull Coastline 12 has a 1.9" nut, one of the widest, although I have heard of 2" nuts on 12 Strings. My C7(b) works fine in either DADGAD or Open A configuration at the 2ed fret. The capo seems wide enough for 1.9" nuts.

but string coverage problems begin as we move up the fret board., as well as buzzing as the dogleg (dogleg is what they named the capo during development) encounters the 6th string on guitars with high action.. But this will only be a problem for people who use multiple capo's.(eg full at 2ed and partial at 4th)
Shubb will make you a custom, if you ask, but my guess is that this involves changing thicknesses of the 2 pads, not the geometry of the casting. But what does Shubb need to do to make a more universal partial for 12 string?
Perhaps a slightly longer and higher dogleg, with a thicker and slightly longer fretboard pad should address most neck thickness problems? That can be determine by testing with examples of reagula 1.75"-1.8" nuts, 1.9" (Seagull) and 2" nuts (Dell'Arte,Goodall). Of course what is actually of importance is a neck thickness and radius, it is a simple convention to use nut width as the specification of note.
