 My 2004 actually made in Nov 2004 is an S series grand . It had the bolt one neck , it was before the Coast Line, which still had a bolt on necks.

 As I said the part that troubles me is the grand Artist and S series grand were in with the first models they made with a choice of electronics.

 Mine is still fine , best sounding and most expensive on the 4 acoustics I have. In 2004 I  paid close to $400 and it came with a nice hard shell case. I regret selling the 2004 Art and Lutherie AMI almond which was an all laminate. I recall just before that they all the AMI had laminate tops and open gear tuners and binding on the front and back. Then by 2004 they had sealed tuners and did away with the back binding. Now the new models went back to the open gear and never went back to the back binding yet added electrics to all of them. I have a chance to get the grand Artist in 2001 with case for $425 and didn't so instead 3 years later got the S series.
