Out of my head. I just choose a bass line using the E,A & D strings by the sound then alter the pattern so I like it then add a melody on any of the 3 high strings. Sometimes the bass pattern I use all E,A & D and build a riff of sorts on the three high strings sometimes the three high strings I mix between single notes and triads. Don't have any books on finger picking. I just try to make it a challenge each time. I just make it up as I go. Some is a form of Travis picking . I like to fit in harmonics and I like to pinch three strings A,G high E start of the 5th fret form an Am then move up the neck to an A shape , so it's a seriers of Am & A shapes that have to change or they will dis chord . I play around with that all the way to the 17th fret then de send all the way to the 1st fret then jump over the the E,D & B pinch all at the same time on the 5th fret ad a pinky hammer-on on the de send. Trying to put it into words is difficult , playing it is another thing. I have to keep adding different notes and shapes or I get caught in a rut and retain all I play and just keep building on it. I used to play songs written yet now days I may play a few in sort of a medley just parts of several songs mixed into one.

Dust in the wind, I can here it in my head never tried to play it. Doesn't sound too difficult, Hold the phone. I looked at one you tube video of a fellow showing the finger picking. My answer is yes I can do that.
