Thank you for your response- however, there is always a "but", correct?
The "issue" is, from my perspective is now, 2 fold, both are corporate think, which is a societal issue- no personal offense intended
toward you or Casey (or other employees I've dealt with at your store)-
And, I didn't use the link to offer a trade to the corporate office-
First issue: Neither you, nor Casey, nor any underling should have to "piece-meal" a "deal/offer made"- piece-mealing comes from a corporate level.
It was/is simple math. (my purchase record is readily available)- I asked to trade for 2 products that w/o tax totaled just over a 1000 dollars.
The traded products offered are at an employees finger tips. I simply asked for some "boot", which would have gone back to your store
in product purchases anyway- I probably would have to pay retail for a guitar stand based on past transactions-
For the sake of brevity- I offered 9 products (plus stands and boxes for most of the guitars) whose total purchase price was a lot closer to 2000 dollars than 1000 dollars.
1000 (for desired products) divided by 9 = 111.111111- simple math. If GC can't figure how to profit from that I don't know what to say,
since some would bring a lot more, all would be break even at worse- and lead to *more future* sales.
I *do know* that GC profits or they couldn't stay in business- and I *do know* that every product I offered for trade could be profited
from- plus the profit on the desired items (even if discounted)-
I don't expect (and I've expressed that to Casey in the past) GC to compete, necessarily with Sweetwater- you can't. Period.
I do, however, having proven to be a loyal customer, expect to be given *some* concession. I don't consider having to cajole for a guitar stand at a little less than retail as a concession, btw. (to add insult to injury: Sweetwater *gave* me 2 sets of strings for the Martin I bought [deeply discounted and got from FT Wayne In in 4 days] and threw in a free cover for the Bugera v5 amp I just purchased-w/o having to be asked!)

I've also spent a little money with Kenny- which has 0 to do with this issue, but, affects him as well.
I also sent my daughter-in-law there for a turn-table- and my thanks is; piece-mealing a trade offer- that is corporate think.
It's how employees are trained- all over this country, in every box store in every industry.
Thinking outside the box is not allowed. It is what it is- but, when my principles are demanded to be compromised, I will cut my nose off to spite my face. I may be thought of as a red neck hick- I ain't. I am in control of all my mental faculties and use them-
As evidence let me present the current situation: you sent an email apologizing for your part (and your stores part) in this debacle- but there was *no* mention of how you could mitigate the situation we're discussing- again, no offense to you intended. But- you stated you wanted to help in the
future? I have to ask; what future? (which does sadden me because I like Casey and Kenny).
The 2nd issue: corporate passing the buck to you. What people (in all walks of life) fail to recognize is; when pointing a finger, three fingers are pointing back.
I sent the email to corporate, to offend corporate- not the store or it's employees- and, in fact, you, nor they, made no mention of my opening of "let me praise" your store-
The focus was on the negative- and corporate had no business interfering with your skills when their training their employees to do as directed is called out.
Since this is a corporate email, maybe, (but I'm not holding my breath) something good will come of it, if nothing but planting a seed-
again, thanks for your response,
