Yamaha has a very good name for musical instruments.
It looks a nice guitar.
Are you looking for the Mahogany tone.
At the end of the day, it's what you think.
Normal advice, if you are thinking about buying a new guitar, play as many guitars as you can, of various makes, take your time, you will know when you have found the right one.

As we've all noted, auditioning a "new" guitar usually means playing a guitar that possibly dozens of people have played and grimed up the dead strings. If you're lucky you'll find one recently out of the box. You're almost better off buying online if they have a free return policy. But that's no way to compare guitars. CraigsList is almost a better option! At least the strings will probably be fresher!

I've never tried many of the newer Yamaha's. I haven't even seen the new models in person. I'm sticking with the fix-er-upper vintage Yammies. There must be some good reviews of the new models. I thought I saw one a couple of months ago where the guy reviewed ALL of the new models. Played the same stuff on all of them to show the difference between all the woods.
