I was up since 11:45 last with my daughter's having cramps.
AT 5 am i nodded off but woke up right away wit my left arm dead
dead weight
no tingle
hard to move
lasted about 15 mins
Since i could not determine if it was a slept-on arm, a neuropathy episode or a TSI (mini-stroke)
wife took me to hospital
was there until 6 Pm,
cast: emergency doctor, neurologist, 2 nurses,
procedures: bloodwork, blood pressure, ECG
diagnosis: you slept on your arm, NOT a TSI
cost: nada

Bonus: Can still play.

Well it's all good news, if in doubt sort it out. You must be very relieved and now have piece of mind.

Even more of an incentive now to appreciate the time you can play the guitar.

I know it's easy for me to say, but sleep is very important try your best to get a good night's sleep whenever possible.

RobertW, I've had that happen to me many times. Luckily for me, the numbness, even though I'm a deep sleeper, seems to do something that alarms me and wakes me up. Usually only takes about 5 to 10 seconds to be good to go again. I try to make a mental note not to sleep in that position again. As I'm sure you know, that doesn't always work though. lol.

Glad to hear all went well at the ol' krankenhaus!

RobertW ,Derick ,TonyKgull , 10 or 15 minutes?! That would be scary! I've had the issue TonyKgull , related, a few times (not very many) in my life. But never for more than longer than it took for me to sling the arm around with my other one and body movement to get the blood flowin- RobertW , still got some guitar left in ya!

I stared at the 12 string and the pack of XTs. I need to see 3 hrs of quiet time before i attempt that string and peg change project. Perhaps next Wed.
