Garland,  Just a little tip that has always worked for me.

Never stretch your strings after you've fully tuned your guitar.

Always stretch them  before  you bring it up to pitch, when they're just starting to get tight, but nowhere near pitch yet.

Done in that order, my guitar stays in tune the first time, every time, once I bring it up to pitch and start playing her.  I did not come up with this by the way.  Taylor and Martin both recommend installing strings this way.   All I can say from experience is, it works every time. 

I had to learn this out of necessity by the way.  The very, very rare time I have to change strings shortly  before going on stage, I  need  the guitar to stay in tune.  There's no waiting around, play a bit, then re-tune, etc etc possible.  It's gotta be good to go the first time.  This is the only way I've found that does that and again, recommended by the pros.

You know it's funny.  This is only anecdotal, but every time I've heard someone tell me a string broke under "normal" use, or an attempt at normal use, it's been from Ernie Ball.  My brother, 2 other guys I know from church, and 2 guys from back in my bar band days.  Ok, that's only 5, but still.  LOL.

That includes me.  Both times I tried them (and yes, only tried them twice, then gave up) one of the strings busted on me while trying to install them and tune them to pitch.  So, technically speaking, I've  never  actually been able to try them cuz they've never survived just being tuned for the first time.

I find that very weird and have not experienced that with any other string brand, regardless of how cheap or expensive they were.

Cut a bit off the B string, get the little brass ball thing, re fitt the little ball thing with the help of pliers, now you may find the string to short if this is the case, undo the thin e string and stick it in the B hole on the tuner, now the clever bit take b string and stick it in the e hole on the tuner, the tricky bit is remembering which tuner goes to which string when tuning.
Or plan B, just buy a single b string.
