There is a place that I used to go to years ago who buys old fishing gear. It was quite a drive through the canyon's winding roads it's 13 miles wanted to stay off the freeways. Got $200 for all of it, less than I expected.

Oh well haven't touched it in 25 years or more. Now days everything is all different and high tech. None sold on Craiges list.

That's not much for a 26 mile round trip.

I am still hoping to use some of my fishing gear this year.

Got my Jon boat out only one time last year. If that happens again this year I'm gonna sell it.

I do need to slim some things around my place. $200 for dust collectors is not too bad.

Yup, 200 bucks is better than nothing. In my present slim down, there was so many things that I "could've got something for." But in the past, it either didn't sell, or I just never got around to it or whatever and they ended up just sticking around, continuing to collect dust.

This time I only kept 3 things that I'm going to sell, the rest all went to the great bin. Nothing was safe from the bin. lol. Feels great. Would've felt even better though if I'd got 200 bucks for it all.

I tied my own fly's built most of my rods. I kept 3 reels and two rods just two Pflueger reels and a Diawa and a cortland rod and one fiber glass rod. Didn't make these rods. I sold most of my stuff in 1993 when the same place I sold this stuff used to have parking lot sales. I my never use what I kept. It's just mainly for the memory.
