A really sad song and a surprising back story to go with it

One of the saddest songs ever is Gene MacLellan's Snowbird. His daughter Catherine really captures the mood of the song. Both Gene and Anne Murray did great versions, but they didn't capture the sadness the way Catherine does.
Back Story - Gene was a brilliant Canadian songwriter with a tragic life. His bouts of depression finally drove him to take his own life in 1995.
Catherine is playing Gene's old Gibson guitar that he wrote Snowbird, Put Your Hand In The Hand and so many other songs on. She was nice enough to let me play it for a couple of hours at a campfire when I came without a guitar.
