Today I tried this little all hog folk Alvarez, and for the price, its an amazing guitar. It nearly made it onto my "small strummer" short-list, but just broke up a little too much as the attack increased. Had it been a long scale, may have purchased it. But I wasnt so keen on the pickup system, and would probably have looked around for a non-electric model.
I really liked the finish, I liked the cutaway, and also the quick decay of the notes which are typical of that all hog vibe. It simply blew the Sigma 000-15M away - Not even a contest for me! They are both similarly priced.
I also played a 12-fret spruce/rosewood 00 size one - That was just a tone monster at the price. Cant believe how loud it was! But I felt I would be missing those extra 2 frets - not sure of the 12-fretters are for me.
