I never got around to doing any actual "measurement" on the nut to be fair.  I just compared it to an Alvarez with a 1.75" nut that was very, very much like a Taylor's 1.75" in every way to how my hand feels on it.

The action at the nut out of the box was a tad-bit high, but I say that pertaining to me specifically, for many others, it may have been perfect.  So I had that adjust a bit.

The string spacing felt same as a Taylor.  Again at least to me, during fingerstyle and flat picking testing.  Usually, when a string spacing is tighter, I'll flub some flat picking stuff and feel my fingers hitting or touching other strings when I don't want them to while finger picking as well.  That did not happen for me on this guitar, so it felt very good.

The neck profile is a shallow "C" profile, again, very much a nicely done replica of a Taylor or Alvarez neck, which is kind of funny because in every other way, this guitar is supposed to mimic a vintage Martin, not a Taylor.  But I guess as far as the neck goes, they decided to go with copying Taylor because their necks are legendary for being the most comfortable to play.

Thanks FG!  Ya, it seems this guitar was destined to be mine.  Too many people had their chance to scoop it.  I waited a long time because I didn't really need it and wanted to buy it only when I had the disposable cash.  I'm glad I waited, patience got me a heck of a deal too.

I have a great problem now.  In the past, I've always had one guitar that I'd pick up way less than others and come to the conclusion that I have to sell/replace it because well, I'm just not wanting to pick it up as much as the others.

Now, I scratch my head because I want to pick them all up and have a hard time choosing which one will win out the moment. Also, it's just fantastic having this trio because they have 3 distinct flavors that really satisfy.  The Taylor, naturally, has that Taylor flavor, the Cort very, very much has a fantastic Martin flavor (really loving this guitar in every way!) and the Alvarez has that dread flavor I love so much and the sound flavor falls nicely in between, but leans towards Taylor more.

I have never been this happy with one guitar, never mind 3.  I feel truly blessed now.  Never thought I'd get to the point where I have no desire for any other acoustic now, I just have the desire to play them.

And ya, with the Cort, I love the headstock too!

For the life of me, I can't figure out what "RoHS" stands for. 

Well, 12 strings are nice for a moment or 2 with me, but I've never really had any desire to own one.  Wouldn't mind a baritone, but they are rare and an affordable one is very rare to find around here for me.   A Banjitar??    An 8 string has rocked my world.....but there's that affordability thing again. 


Now a travel guitar, hmmm.  I've thought about that many times.  But I have no problem taking any of these 3 guitars to friends and family places that I drive to, so that's not a problem.  Hopping on a plane and traveling to exotic places kind of travel is above my pay grade so that issue never comes up.

But, I'm sure, somewhere down the road, maybe one day, there might be something I might wanna add, just can't think of anything right now.      All kidding aside, when you get to the point where you can't even think of anything you'd still want and just wanna play what you have, it's an extremely  great place to be.

What does "RoHS" stand for? 


Restriction on Hazardous Substances? 

Robbers on High Street? 

Rodents of Huge Size? 

Reject or Hug Santa? 

Ramification of Head Stock? 

Round or High Saddle? 


What does this mean???  Aagh!
