Seagull Folk cedar top? Thoughts on aluminum bronze strings

Maybe this forum isn't right for me then.

Ok. What rule did I break?

It's really not a big deal. I didn't understand that there were other sub forums. I book marked the forum here from the old forum. I was under the impression I had joined Seagull enthusiast group. I had noticed there were other brand guitar groups here, but honestly I didn't pay attention to any of that.

The moderators have every right to move threads to where they see fit. I was once an administrator and then moderator for the big Jeep Wrangler forum. It's not always easy and it takes a lot of the enjoyment out of the social aspect of a forum. I respect and commend moderators for their efforts.

Like I said, I just didn't even realize there was a sub forum for strings. I'm definitely not trying to change the way the forum here works. I've been lurking mostly, so I'm aware of the active members here to a greater degree than people are aware of me.

My own ignorance is at fault here for not being aware or being interested in the other forums here.

No problem, catfishrow .  I can understand why you chose the Seagull forum since you were considering the AB strings for your Seagull folk. But hey, if one of the other moderators hadn't moved the discussion, I'd have considered about moving it myself, since it's largely a discussion of the quality of the strings and thus relevant to anyone interested in those strings, and other people could have chimed in with their impressions of the ABs. We just try to make the forums here as organized and relevant as possible in order for someone to find the information they need.

Anyway, to make this thread less interesting, I'll get back on topic.

The replies have convinced me to go with the Al SnCu on my next change. I'm not changing until after my Tusq saddle and Tusq pin swap though. I am wanting to see if there is any discernible difference in tone, so I have to keep these EXP 16s for now.
